Step into a deeply restorative experience combining Yin Yoga,  Guided Shamanic Meditation & Sound Healing to help you slow down, release tension & reconnect with yourself.

Yin Yoga & Guided Shamanic Sound Journey

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that uses long-held floor postures to gently target the body's deeper connective tissues, including the fascia, joints, hips, pelvis, and spine. Unlike more active styles of yoga, Yin invites you to slow down, soften, and surrender, creating space for both physical release and mental stillness.

By remaining in each posture for several minutes, the body gradually releases deeply held tension while improving mobility, flexibility, and joint health. The practice also encourages mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and a greater awareness of the breath and body. Rooted in both traditional yoga philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine, Yin Yoga works with the body's energetic pathways, helping to restore balance, improve the flow of energy, and cultivate a deep sense of calm.

A typical Yin Yoga & Guided Shamanic Sound Journey begins with gentle breath awareness to help you settle into the present moment. You'll then be guided through a series of long-held Yin postures, allowing your body time to soften naturally without force or striving. The emphasis is not on how deeply you stretch, but on creating space, listening to your body, and finding stillness within each pose.

The practice concludes with a deeply restorative Guided Shamanic Sound Journey. Shamanic practices have been used for thousands of years across many cultures as a way of connecting more deeply with nature, intuition, and inner wisdom. Through guided meditation, rhythmic drumming, visualisation, and live therapeutic instruments including singing bowls, flutes, chimes, soothing vocals, and other healing sounds, you'll be gently guided into a peaceful, dreamlike state where the mind can quieten, the body can deeply rest, and the nervous system can fully unwind.

Together, Yin Yoga and the Guided Shamanic Sound Journey create a deeply nourishing experience that encourages physical release, emotional balance, and profound relaxation. Many people leave feeling lighter, calmer, grounded, and deeply connected to themselves.

Journey Through the Chakras

On the 3rd September we will begin an 8-part Yin Yoga series inviting a profound exploration of the body’s seven energy centres. Rooted in yogic wisdom and subtle body traditions, it offers a space for self-enquiry, healing, embodiment, and deeper connection.

Each 85-minute, fortnightly class is devoted to one chakra, weaving together Yin Yoga, breathwork, meditation, visualisation, shamanic journeying, reflection, and sound healing. Moving from root to crown, students are guided to cultivate awareness, restore balance, and reconnect with their innate wisdom.

This is a beautiful time to begin as we move into the season of slowing down, which naturally complements the practice of Yin Yoga.

Due to the extra bolsters and props for your comfort, there is only space for a small group. If you would like to register your interest or secure your place in advance, please get in touch!

3rd & 17th Sept

1st, 15th, 29th Oct

12th & 26th Nov

If you can't make a class in the chakra series, you can come to a winter season yin class in January instead.
