Beginner-Friendly Yoga & Sound Healing Classes
Join Emma for a slow, beginner-friendly Forrest Yoga practice followed by a deeply restorative Sound Journey. Through mindful movement, conscious breathing, and deep relaxation, you'll release tension, improve posture, build strength, and leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more connected to yourself.
Created by Ana Forrest, Forrest Yoga is a modern therapeutic style of Hatha yoga designed to support the physical and emotional demands of everyday life. Through conscious breathing, mindful movement, and a strong focus on core awareness, the practice helps release tension, improve posture, increase mobility, build functional strength, and deepen your connection with your body.
Rather than striving for perfect poses, Forrest Yoga encourages you to listen to your body, move with awareness, and build resilience from the inside out. By working with your breath and moving mindfully, you'll gradually release tension, improve body awareness, and develop greater strength, confidence, and ease; both on and off the mat.
A typical Forrest Yoga & Sound Healing class begins with conscious breathing to help you arrive fully in the present moment and connect with your body. You'll then be guided through a carefully sequenced Forrest Yoga practice, with each posture building progressively to create strength, stability, mobility, and greater freedom of movement. Every class offers something different, inviting you to explore your body with curiosity while learning to work with your breath rather than against it.
Every posture can be adapted to suit your individual needs, making the practice suitable for complete beginners, experienced practitioners, and during pregnancy. No flexibility or previous yoga experience is required.
The yoga practice is followed by a deeply restorative Sound Journey, where you'll rest comfortably as the soothing sounds of singing bowls, flutes, chimes, voice, and other therapeutic instruments gently guide your body into a deeply relaxed, parasympathetic state, where true rest and repair can take place. As the mind becomes quieter and the body softens, the effects of the yoga practice are given time to fully integrate, leaving you feeling calm, grounded, refreshed, and deeply connected to yourself.
Together, Forrest Yoga and Sound Healing create a balanced practice that strengthens the body while calming the mind and nervous system. The emphasis is always on supporting your body rather than pushing beyond it, creating a practice that feels nourishing, sustainable, and deeply rewarding.
