Menopause Massage

Compassionate Holistic Support

Menopause is a natural stage of life marked by hormonal change and the end of menstrual cycles after 12 consecutive months without a period. It can happen in your 40s or 50s (average age in the UK is around 51), and every experience is completely individual. It affects women, trans men, and non-binary people who menstruate.

For many, menopause is more than a physical shift. It can affect emotions, sleep, energy levels, and overall wellbeing.

A Gentle, Compassionate Massage

Menopause massage is a non-invasive, deeply nurturing therapy designed specifically to support you through hormonal change.

It uses slow, steady movements, light to moderate pressure, and compassionate therapeutic touch to help calm the nervous system and bring the body into a state of rest and repair.

This is a holistic treatment, focusing on the whole person - body, mind, and emotional wellbeing. Each session is rooted in care, compassion, and understanding that every menopause journey is unique.

Your Treatment is Always Personal to You

Before your massage, we take time to talk through how menopause is affecting you—physically, emotionally, and in your daily life.

Your treatment is then fully adapted to your needs, which may include support with:

  • Hot flushes and night sweats

  • Sleep problems and insomnia

  • Anxiety, stress, or low mood

  • Fatigue and low energy

  • Muscle and joint pain

  • Headaches and tension

  • Nausea or general discomfort

  • Emotional overwhelm or feeling “out of balance”

Your personal goals are always central - whether that is deep relaxation, symptom relief, or simply a calm space to rest and reset.

What to Expect in Your Session

Your treatment begins with a gentle consultation so we can understand how menopause is affecting you physically, emotionally, and in your day-to-day life, along with your personal goals for treatment.

Menopause massage is a light-touch, calming therapy using slow, steady, rhythmic movements. This gentle approach is intentional and important. During menopause, the nervous system can become more sensitive due to hormonal changes, stress, sleep disruption, and fatigue. Light, non-invasive touch helps the body shift out of “fight or flight” mode and into a state of rest, repair, and deep relaxation, without overwhelming the system.

The massage itself is slow, soothing, and deeply restorative. It may include full-body relaxation techniques, gentle passive joint movements (such as ankles, hips, and shoulders) to ease stiffness and support mobility, as well as focused work on areas of tension such as the neck, shoulders, and back. Calming, grounding techniques are used throughout to help regulate the nervous system and support emotional balance.

Everything is always carried out at your comfort level, creating a safe, quiet, and supportive space where your body can fully soften, release tension, and switch off from stress.

Recommended Course of Treatment

While one session can be deeply beneficial, menopause symptoms often fluctuate, so a course of treatments is recommended for best results.

Suggested plan:

Once weekly for 6 weeks initially

This helps support the nervous system over time, improves the body’s ability to relax more easily, and can create longer-lasting relief from symptoms.

When Massage May Not Be Suitable

For your safety, treatment may be postponed if you have:

  • Suspected or confirmed blood clots (DVT)

  • Active infections or fever

  • Untreated or acute lymphoedema (specialist care required)

A full consultation is always carried out before treatment.
